Wide angle

Usually, in the purchase of the dash cam, we will focus on the wide angle. Many people think that the bigger is better and most of the people firm this view.

In order to promote the sales, many businesses continue to exaggerate the publicity, even having 270-degree wide angle. Here I would like to say that the larger wide angle isn’t better. The main function of the dual dash camera is to record clear videos. So it not only requires the high-quality image, but also the entire horizon, but this is limited by the technology.

The deformation of the dash cam is a big problem. As the wide-angle increase, the deformation will more and more serious. In general, more than 90 degrees will begin to deform. At present, the best product in the world only can reach 160 degrees.

Therefore, if the 160 degrees promoted don’t have deformation, it may only about 120 degrees. But some dash cam actually reaches 160 degrees and don’t affect to obtain the evidence. but usually, these dash cam is expensive.

If you want the clear image, you must abandon some vision. The suitable wide angle is about 120 degree to 140 degrees.
